Vocus firms despite profit fall

Australian shares are trading firmly higher through the afternoon, with a number of key results lifting the market.

The S&P/ASX 200 Index is trading 23.4 points, or 0.4 per cent, higher at 6506.7.

CSL is trading 1.7 per cent higher, Westpac had added 1 per cent and NAB is up 1 per cent too.

Pro Medicus has added 15.4 per cent, Vocus Group is trading 10.5 per cent firmer and Flight Centre has risen 10 per cent.

Brambles is trading 5.1 per cent lower, South32 has lost 4.9 per cent and Amcor is 3.7 per cent lower.

IDP Education has lost 14.6 per cent, Webjet is 11.3 per cent lower and Bingo Industries has lost 7.5 per cent.
