Tron {TRX} Surpasses Ethereum {ETH} and EOS for DApp Users

According to data produced by DAppReview, Tron is leading in terms of 24-hour trading volume on its DApps (decentralised applications). It has surpassed Ethereum and EOS, both DApp-hosting networks on their blockchains.

DAppReview, an organisation which, among other things, provides on-chain data analytics published this data yesterday on their Twitter, and it was quickly reshared by the founder and CEO of Tron, Justin Sun.

According to the data, the 24-hour trading volume on the Tron network was 642.5 TRX, worth $18.6 million USD. It thus overtook Ethereum, which was at 39,900 ETH, worth $9 million USD. EOS came second, with 2.5 million EOS being traded, worth $10.5 million USD.

The top DApp in terms of volume was a DApp on Tron called WINk. WINk only recently announced the launch of its token, WIN, through the Binance Launchpad. It is the first of its kind, and as we can see, very popular.

Despite the fact that Tron started allowing DApp production on its ecosystem much later than EOS and Ethereum, it already lists about 550 DApps on its blockchain and has been growing quickly.

Nonetheless, EOS boasted the greatest numbers of users, followed by Tron and then Ethereum.

Users on Twitter had mixed reactions to Tron’s announcement, mostly because Sun is a controversial figure in the crypto space, and many have begun harbouring resentment against the currency due to the CEO. Sun is known for facing multiple controversies, and it creates much publicity for the currency, which has become one of the most popular and well-known despite being ranked relatively low in terms of total market capitalisation. In fact, Sun has 1.5 Million Twitter followers, significantly more than other well-known cryptocurrency CEO’s such as Ethereum’s Vitalik Buterin and Binance’s Changpeng Zhao.
