The crypto world seems to be bearing witness to new and exciting tech developments with each passing day.
In this regard, it now appears as though a number of European nations have opened their doors to service providers who are looking to deliver their clientele with novel monetary offerings such as “crypto-based debit cards”.
As per an all-new post released on Reddit earlier today, a new debit card offering has just made its way into Europe last week.
A Closer look at the Matter
According to various reports circulating over the internet, the aforementioned “crypto debit card” was launched by Jubiter – a relatively well-known crypto exchange in Europe.
Talking about his firm’s latest financial offering, a spokesperson for Jubiter claimed that the card can be used anywhere on the planet. Not only that, it allows users to facilitate Bitcoin [BTC] and Litecoin [LTC] transactions in a completely seamless, hassle-free manner.
- Jubiter will charge its clients a small maintenance fee of around €1.80 (~$2) per month to maintain the above mentioned debit card offering.
- There will also be a small €1.00 ($1.12) “reload fee” that will be applied every time a person wishes to put more BTC/LTC into his/her card.
- Lastly, it is also worth pointing out that Jubiter allows its customer base to easily procure BTC via a number of different payment avenues.
At the time of writing this article, Jubiter’s crypto cards are available for purchase across a number of different European countries.
Additionally, according to the company’s website, if this pilot venture is successful, then the firm plans of expanding its reach to other continents such as Asia and North America in the coming 12-24 months..
Last but not least, it should be pointed out that Jubiter’s aforementioned efforts have previously been replicated by a number of other startups. However, none of these ventures were really successful. It now remains to be seen how things work out for Jubiter in the near future.
